Position Description
Our ideal candidate will have extensive food service experience, preferably experience in quick service restaurant management. The Donut Experiment is looking for applicants who can confidently take responsibility for managing the store while the owners remain absentee. Applicants should be able to perform tasks independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have a proven track record of employee leadership, with the ability to mentor and lead by example. The General Manager of our cake donut shop will also be responsible for:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training both current employees and new hires
- Having hard conversations with employees as needed
- Handling any store-related or employee-related challenges as they occur
- Handling customer issues/complaints in a professional manner
- Creating and managing employee schedules
- Maintaining inventory
- Handling all monies coming in and out of the store, including bank deposits/withdrawals and cash register totals
General Manager applicants must have a food safety manager certification or be willing to obtain this certification.
